Ko Phi Phi, Thailand

"The Beach" has always been one of my favorite movies, so I figured I'd go out and see where most of the beach scenes were filmed. I wanted to see just how touristy the place had become. I was actually pleasantly surprised, no big hotels or hawkers begging you to buy things. Just a lot of tourist day boats. Could have been a lot worse. I think it is still protected as a national park or something though, which is good. I was also impressed with Phi Phi Don, the main island. Definitely touristy, but not in a way that annoyed me. If you wanted quiet you could find it. If not then there was every type of music blaring from one of the beach bars and dozens of fire dancing shows going on at any given time of the night.
Also in the video are some pictures from Bangkok. I've spent many nights in Bangkok, usually at least three every time I've been there, and I've lost count how many times I've been there. But these are some of my favorite pictures from some epic nights out on the town. Enjoy!
